Softball Recap: Canyon View's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Canyon View came out on top against Buckeye on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Jaguars blew past the Hawks 10-2. Considering the Jaguars have won 18 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Canyon View got a massive performance out of Makenzie Jones, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Samantha Galindo was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The victory (which was Canyon View's sixth in a row) raised their record to 23-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Buckeye, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Canyon View beat Buckeye by a score of 8-0 on Thursday.
