Volleyball Game Preview: Peak to Peak Pumas vs. Kent Denver Sun Devils

The Peak to Peak Pumas are taking a road trip to challenge the Kent Denver Sun Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Peak to Peak will be strutting in after a victory while Kent Denver will be coming in after a defeat.

Peak to Peak took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against St. Mary's Academy by a score of 3-1.

Peak to Peak walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 16-25, 25-20, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Kent Denver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Stargate School.

Kent Denver was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-20.

Peak to Peak will have to contain Valana Thompson as she made an impact in Kent Denver's last game. She had 17 digs and two aces.

Peak to Peak pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Kent Denver, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Peak to Peak skirted past Kent Denver 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pumas since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
