Football Recap: Northwood Comes Up Short

If Northwood was feeling good fresh off their 53-32 takedown of Willard last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rangers lost to the Calvert Senecas at home by a 48-32 margin on Friday. The Rangers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Senecas apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2015.

Northwood now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Calvert, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwood will host Woodmore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 11.6 points per game this season, so the Rangers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Calvert, they will be playing at home against Margaretta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Polar Bears will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Senecas surely won't give up without a fight.
