Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Mae Dawkins and Mya Dyer Lead Sullivan to Victory

There's no place like home for Sullivan, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Robinson Maroons on Monday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Sullivan took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-15.

Leading Sullivan to victory were Mya Dyer and Mae Dawkins. Dyer had seven digs and one assist, while Dawkins had nine assists. What's more, Dawkins posted two digs, the most she's had over her last two matchups.

Sullivan was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Robinson only served three.

Sullivan pushed their record up to 16-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Robinson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Sullivan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Shelbyville on the 14th. As for Robinson, they will square off against Paris at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
