Meanwhile, Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Lakeview 55-7. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Vikings are ranked ninth).
The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Wayne, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Pierce took their victory against Wayne in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 41-21 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluejays since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
