Softball Recap: Pine Bush Takes a Loss

After flying high against Washingtonville last Friday, Pine Bush came back down to earth. The Bushmen fell 8-5 to the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bushmen in their meetings with the Goldbacks: they've now lost four in a row.

Pine Bush's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Newburgh Free Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Pine Bush will square off against Middletown at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newburgh Free Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Goshen Central at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
