Softball Game Preview: West Cabarrus Wolverines vs. Cox Mill Chargers

West Cabarrus is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Cox Mill an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The West Cabarrus Wolverines will host the Cox Mill Chargers at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Things were looking good for West Cabarrus after they put the first runs on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Hickory Ridge, falling 12-3.

Kamryn Weaks made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadyn Ready, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Cox Mill lost 13-1 to South Iredell on Friday.

Cox Mill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evie Flores, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Cox Mill's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for West Cabarrus, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Everything went West Cabarrus' way against Cox Mill when the teams last played two weeks ago, as West Cabarrus made off with an 11-3 win. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
