Softball Recap: Southwood Knights vs. Maconaquah Braves

In what's become a running theme this season, Southwood gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 10-3 margin over the Maconaquah Braves. The win made it back-to-back victories for Southwood.

Natalie Sutphin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Southwood got a big performance out of Grace Lambert, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lili Combs, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
