Oneonta lost to Johnson City back in May of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Yellowjackets walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Wildcats. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
Jenevie Gallusser made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Gallusser was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Kendall LeFever was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Carley Mistler, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Oneonta's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Johnson City, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
Oneonta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Johnson City, they will head out to challenge Homer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
