Middlesex waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Charles City Panthers as they made off with a 15-1 victory. Considering the Chargers have won eight matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Courtney Jessie made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Middlesex got a massive performance out of Carly Jessie, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple. That's the most runs Jessie has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kyla Blazek, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Middlesex now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Charles City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.
We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Middlesex is set to take on their familiar foe Mathews at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Charles City will face off against rival West Point at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
