Recap: Winneconne Wolves vs. Xavier Hawks
After soaring to 35 points the game before, The Winneconne Wolves were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell 14-3 to Xavier. Winneconne has struggled against Xavier recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Brady Immel threw for 76 yards on nine of 22 attempts. Brody Schaffer was his top target, picking up 29 receiving yards. On the ground, Ethan Mathe rushed for 54 yards.
Xavier can attribute much of their success to Reid Hietpas, who rushed for 83 yards, and also threw for 52 yards and a touchdown.
Winneconne's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Xavier, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Winneconne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Xavier will take on Lodi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lodi will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
