Football Recap: Johnson Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Johnson kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They received a blow as they fell 21-6 to the Bryan County Redskins. The Atomsmashers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Redskins from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Shamari King threw for 49 yards on seven of 14 attempts. Devrin Davis was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Long County at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th. This will be the Atomsmashers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Bryan County, they will take on Aquinas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
