Basketball Game Preview: Century Knights vs. Hereford Bulls

Century is 6-1 against Hereford since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Century Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hereford Bulls at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Century strolled past Western Tech & Environmental Science with points to spare, taking the game 57-38. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hereford). They secured a 63-57 W over Winters Mill on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulls, who have now won five contests in a row.

Century's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points over those games. As for Hereford, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Century came up short against Hereford in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 49-44. Can Century avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
