Recap: Sundown Roughnecks vs. Tahoka Bulldogs
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Sundown Roughnecks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Tahoka 37-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Sundown has posted yet this season.
Allie McCormick continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Sundown's points. Another player making a difference was Camry Jourden, who scored two points along with 12 rebounds and nine steals.
Sundown is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Tahoka, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Sundown will be playing in front of their home fans against Plains at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tahoka, they will head out on the road to square off against Seagraves at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
