Softball Recap: Porterville Takes a Loss

Porterville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Templeton Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly five runs.

Porterville's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Templeton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Porterville will face off against Taft at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Templeton, they will take on Tulare Western at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
