After flying high against Casa Roble last Thursday, Woodland came back down to earth. The Woodland Wolves took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Nicolaus Spartans on Saturday. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2014.

Woodland's loss came despite strong showings from Kate Fricke and Chloe Nelson. Fricke had 15 digs, while Nelson had five digs and three aces. Nelson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had five or more in the last six games she's played dating back to last season.
Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for East Nicolaus, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
