Softball Recap: Helena Huskies vs. Pelham Panthers

With a playoff game on the line, Helena rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Pelham Panthers. Winning may never get old, but Helena sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Jaida Holtzclaw looked comfortable as she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Presley Lively was excellent, scoring no runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played.

Helena is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 22 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 37-7 record this season. As for Pelham, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-14.
