Baseball Recap: Cornersville Comes Up Short

Cornersville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Community Vikings/Viqueens. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 11-4 to the Vikings/Viqueens when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cornersville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylon Sampson, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Cornersville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Community, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.

Coming up, Cornersville will welcome Fayetteville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. As for Community, they will head out on the road to challenge Cascade at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
