Baseball Recap: Littlestown Comes Up Short

Littlestown was the 13-1 winner over York Catholic when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Littlestown took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of York Catholic on Wednesday. Thunderbolts fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Fighting Irish since on Wednesday.

Walter Steele was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Noah Clements also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Littlestown now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for York Catholic, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Littlestown will face off against New Oxford at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. New Oxford will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Littlestown surely won't give up without a fight. As for York Catholic, they will challenge York County Tech at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
