Mesa is 9-1 against Red Mountain since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mesa Jackrabbits will be playing at home against the Red Mountain Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m.

Mesa heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Tuesday. They fell 53-40 to Hamilton.

Meanwhile, Red Mountain made easy work of Tucson High Magnet School on Thursday and carried off a 42-22 win. The Mountain Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Mesa better keep an eye on Macy Johnson. She was instrumental in Red Mountain's win, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards Johnson has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Korey Roberts, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Red Mountain smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in 12 consecutive games.

Mesa's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-11. As for Red Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 18-9.

Mesa strolled past Red Mountain in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 37-22. Does Mesa have another victory up their sleeve, or will Red Mountain turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
