Soccer Recap: Dan River Takes a Loss

Dan River lost against Chatham back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 2-1. Dan River's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Dan River's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Chatham, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dan River will square off against Nelson County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Nelson County will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Dan River surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chatham, they will challenge Galileo at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Chatham are facing Galileo at the right time seeing as Galileo are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
