Baseball Recap: Parma Gets the Win

Parma won the last time they faced Melba and things went their way on Saturday too. The Panthers walked away with a 4-1 win over the Mustangs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Samuel Hultman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. He also allowed no hits, which is notable because Parma is 4-2 when he allows at most two hits, but 7-13 otherwise. Hultman was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Hultman wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Silas Kling, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Parma's victory bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Melba, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Parma wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-7 loss against Nampa Christian on the 3rd. Melba does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
