Football Recap: Los Alamitos Takes Down San Clemente in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

Los Alamitos extended their postseason success on Saturday against San Clemente. They walked away with a 33-20 victory over the Tritons. The score was all tied up 17-17 at the break, but the Griffins were the (much) better team in the second half.

Kamden Tillis produced another solid performance rushing for 130 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also picking up 53 receiving yards.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Los Alamitos proved: they limited San Clemente to a paltry 1.7 yards per carry. The Griffins didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.6.

Los Alamitos didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Koa Marasco and Lenny Ibarra.

The win (which was Los Alamitos' fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2. As for San Clemente, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-5.

Coming up, Los Alamitos will challenge Cathedral Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. San Clemente does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
