The Bristol Eastern Lancers will square off against the Conard Red Wolves at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Bristol Eastern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Bristol Eastern is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Pomperaug just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 10-5 to the Panthers.

Corinne Sutula led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maria Albert, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, Conard got the win against Farmington on Monday by a conclusive 15-1. The win continues a trend for the Red Wolves in their matchups with the River Hawks: they've now won six in a row.

Conard's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Bristol Eastern, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Bristol Eastern couldn't quite get it done against Conard in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 as they fell 8-4. Can the Lancers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
