Baseball Recap: Saginaw Comes Up Short

The Saginaw Rough Riders came up short against the Fossil Ridge Panthers on Tuesday and fell 9-5.

Grayson Chancellor made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Wainwright, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Saginaw has been struggling recently as they've lost 20 of their last 21 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-24-1 record this season. As for Fossil Ridge, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-19-2.

While Saginaw had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
