Hoover proved they can win big on Monday (they won by nine) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Charleston Catholic Irish. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Huskies have posted since May 20, 2024.

Tristan Harless was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
