Sacred Heart extended their postseason success on Friday against French Camp Academy. They blew past the Panthers 13-3. Considering the Crusaders have won 18 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kyron Murphy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Sacred Heart got a big performance out of Brad Marrero, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Jackson Gamber was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Sacred Heart kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Sacred Heart pushed their record up to 24-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for French Camp Academy, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sacred Heart beat the Panthers by a score of 13-3 on Saturday.
