Basketball Recap: Centerville Triumphs

Centerville won the last time they faced Wayne and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Centerville Elks secured a 50-46 W over the Wayne Warriors.

Wayne's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Imani Frazier, who went 5 for 9 en route to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Janaya Lenoir, who posted six points.

Centerville's record is now 10-7. As for Wayne, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Centerville will face off against Miamisburg at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Centerville is facing Miamisburg at the right time seeing as Miamisburg is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Wayne, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-18 victory against Thurgood Marshall on the 30th.
