Basketball Recap: Bay City Skates Past Calhoun with Ease

Bay City won the last time they faced Calhoun and things went their way on Friday too. The Bay City Blackcats took their game with ease, bagging a 62-29 win over the Calhoun Sandcrabs. The Blackcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 32 points or more this season.

Bay City was led to victory by Javius Andrews and Alex Estrada. Andrews went 7 of 13 on his way to 16 points, while Estrada went 5 for 12 on his way to 12 points. Andrews' afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Ellis, who posted nine points.

The victory made it two in a row for Bay City and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Calhoun, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Bay City will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sweeny at 7:00 p.m. Bay City is facing Sweeny at the right time seeing as Sweeny is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Calhoun, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-30 defeat against Van Vleck on the 14th.
