Soccer Game Preview: Douglas vs. Rawlins

The Douglas Bearcats will challenge the Rawlins Outlaws at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Douglas will be strutting in after a win while Rawlins will be coming in after a defeat.

Douglas is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Gering a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for Douglas in their matchups with Gering: they've now won six in a row.

Douglas hit Gering with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Zander Vollman (2), Rylan Cowan, and Aaron Murilo.

Meanwhile, Rawlins had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Torrington who was credited with the win on Friday. The Trailblazers got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Rawlins' two.

Douglas' victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Rawlins, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
