Recap: Evansville North Huskies vs. Evansville Harrison Warriors
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Evansville North Huskies walked away with it. They breezed by the Warriors on the road to the tune of 56-29 on Tuesday. Evansville North has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 22 points or more this season.
Vanessa Nankwenya continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 12 points along with seven steals and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Libby Blythe, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Evansville Harrison still got an impressive performance from Anabella Thomas, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
Evansville North's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Evansville Harrison, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season.
Evansville North will square off against Evansville Reitz at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Evansville North is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52 points per game this season. Evansville Harrison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
