Basketball Game Preview: Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors vs. San Jose Bulldogs

Yerba Buena is on a nine-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, San Jose a 12-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors will host the San Jose Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Yerba Buena knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully San Jose likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, Yerba Buena ended up a good deal behind Gunderson and lost 74-58. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (56), the Aztec Warriors still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, San Jose was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 42-36 to Del Mar.

Yerba Buena's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for San Jose, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Yerba Buena might still be hurting after the 71-47 loss they got from San Jose in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Yerba Buena avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
