It's playoff time, and Greenfield/Northwestern had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 59-53 victory over the Metro-East Lutheran Knights on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

It was another big night for Talon Albrecht, who went 7-for-12 on his way to 22 points. Griffin Rothe was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Greenfield/Northwestern's win bumped their record up to 24-10. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they moved to 21-12 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Greenfield/Northwestern will face off against Peoria Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Peoria Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully Greenfield/Northwestern likes a good challenge. Metro-East Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
