Softball Recap: West Franklin Takes a Loss

West Franklin extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-5 in the process. They came up short against the Osage City Indians, falling 15-5. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly ten runs.

Berkley Love was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI. Greelie McMahan also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

As for Osage City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by nine runs or more this season.

On Osage City's side, the team relied heavily on Lillian Lohmeyer, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Tayler Ericson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

West Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Osage City, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-1 defeat against Riley County on the 20th.
