Softball Recap: Bolivar Central Has No Trouble Against Trinity Christian Academy

Bolivar Central made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Trinity Christian Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bolivar Central Tigers were the clear victor by a 10-2 margin over the Trinity Christian Academy Lions on Tuesday. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 15-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leah Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in April of 2024.

Bolivar Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .167.

The victory made it two in a row for Bolivar Central and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11 runs. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
