Volleyball Recap: Everett Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Everett rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bedford Bisons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The win didn't come easy: Bedford scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-23, 22-25, 25-18.

Everett was led to victory by Bella Ramsey and Laynee Cornell. Ramsey had ten digs and one assist, while Cornell had 35 assists and 18 digs. Those 35 assists gave Cornell a new career-high.

Bedford's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Rylee Lybarger, who had 19 assists and nine digs, and Taylor Magill, who had 14 digs and three assists. Magill is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Everett's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. As for Bedford, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-15.

Everett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against McConnellsburg on the 1st. Bedford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
