Basketball Recap: Walton Takes a Loss

Walton lost against Taft back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Walton Wildcats fell 47-39 to the Taft Golden Eagles. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Walton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Taft, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Walton Wildcats face off against the Gompers Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Walton is facing Gompers at the right time seeing as Gompers is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Taft, they will venture away from home to take on Longwood Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Longwood Prep Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Taft likes a good challenge.
