Recap: Stansbury Stallions vs. Green Canyon Wolves
The Stansbury Stallions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Green Canyon, falling 68-30. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stansbury in their matchups with Green Canyon: they've now lost six in a row.
Brooke Jensen was Stansbury's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Allie Proctor held things down on the boards with 11 rebounds.
Among those leading the charge was Janalynn Blotter, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. Marissa Best was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Stansbury's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Green Canyon, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Stansbury will head out on the road to face off against Taylorsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Taylorsville is ranked 67th, while Stansbury is ranked 83rd). As for Green Canyon, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Box Elder at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Box Elder focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
