Softball Recap: Peru Tigers vs. Jimtown Jimmies

Peru was the 2-1 winner over Jimtown when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jimmies on Saturday.

Peru's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Jimtown, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Peru will head out to take on Southwood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season. As for Jimtown, they have already played their next contest, a 4-1 defeat against Varsity Opponent on the 26th.
