Recap: Wyatt Chaparrals vs. Colleyville Heritage Panthers
If The Wyatt Chaparrals were feeling good off their 28-7 takedown of the Trimble Tech Bulldogs last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wyatt took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Colleyville Heritage on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Wyatt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 454th, while Colleyville Heritage is ranked 84th).
Luke Ullrich was his usual excellent self, throwing for 283 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Ullrich hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. Braden Blueitt was another key contributor, picking up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Wyatt's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Colleyville Heritage, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Wyatt will head out on the road to face off against Argyle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Argyle has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 392 points over their last seven matchups. As for Colleyville Heritage, they will be playing at home against Denton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
