Football Recap: Chatfield Piles Up the Points Against Highlands Ranch

Chatfield can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They blew past the Highlands Ranch Falcons 45-12. Considering the Chargers have won four matchups by more than 30 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Chatfield didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Brianne Kohler led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Chatfield is 4-2 when Ellie Buck posts one or more interceptions, but 1-3 otherwise.

The win got Chatfield back to even at 5-5. As for Highlands Ranch, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chatfield will head out to take on Valor Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 11.4 points per game this season, so the Chargers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Highlands Ranch, they are taking a road trip to face off against Ponderosa at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
