Basketball Recap: Prescott Comes Up Short

Prescott suffered their closest loss since February 1, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the St. Croix Central Panthers by a score of 61-58. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-50 back in December of 2024.

Prescott's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-10. As for St. Croix Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cardinals take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Durand-Arkansaw will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Prescott surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Croix Central, they will face off against Altoona at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
