Pleasant Grove entered their tilt with Cosumnes Oaks on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Wolfpack by a score of 6-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 on April 2nd.

Madeline Lawson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lila Rooney was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Natalie Brozaitis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Pleasant Grove's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Pleasant Grove has already played their next match, a 7-0 victory against Franklin on the 2nd. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 defeat against East Union on the 25th.
