Basketball Game Preview: Fort Kent Warriors vs. Central Aroostook Panthers

Fort Kent and Central Aroostook are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Fort Kent Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Central Aroostook Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Central Aroostook is hoping to do what Easton couldn't on Monday: put an end to Fort Kent's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Fort Kent blew past Easton 57-19. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Bears are ranked 114th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Central Aroostook put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Easton, posting a 61-28 victory.

Fort Kent's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Central Aroostook, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Fort Kent strolled past Central Aroostook in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 48-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Kent since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
