Anchor Bay lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Grosse Pointe North, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's match. The Tars blew past the Norsemen 10-3 on Thursday. Considering the Tars have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Anchor Bay has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Grosse Pointe North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Anchor Bay will take on Allen Park in a tournament on Saturday. As for Grosse Pointe North, they will challenge Romeo at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Norsemen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
