Baseball Recap: Raytown's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Platte County, Raytown was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Van Horn Falcons, sneaking past 8-6. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bluejays as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Raytown's victory bumped their record up to 4-17. As for Van Horn, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.

Raytown wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 17-2 defeat against Fort Osage on the 16th. As for Van Horn, they will challenge Platte County at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
