Soccer Recap: Bruton Takes a Loss

Bruton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Poquoson Islanders. Bruton were not able to make up for their defeat to Poquoson from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Bruton's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Poquoson, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-5 record.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bruton will challenge rival Lafayette at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Poquoson is set to square off against their familiar foe New Kent at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
