Game recap: Wray High School Football Team defeats Holyoke

WRAY, Colo. - Wray (Colo.) extended its winning streak to eight games with a 27-6 victory over Holyoke (Colo.) on Saturday.

The Eagles were up 12-6 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Cade Reinick in the second quarter.

Reinick played well for Wray in the victory. He threw one touchdown and ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 22 touchdowns on the season.

Logan Tharp played well for the Dragons. The junior tight end caught one touchdown. He has now scored two touchdowns on the season.

Holyoke's lone touchdown came on a 55-yard pass from Bradley Cumming to Tharp in the second quarter.



WHS went into the matchup giving up only 15.8 points per game. The six points that HHS ended with were well below its average of 28.8 coming into the game.

A 54-27 Wray victory was the result when the squads faced off last season. The result could have been expected though, as Wray has won 85.7 percent of the last seven games between the two teams, with a record of 6-0.
