Soccer Game Preview: Marquette vs. Burroughs

The Marquette Mustangs will head out to take on the Burroughs Bombers at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Marquette is coming into the contest on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Clayton on Saturday. The win was all the more spectacular given Marquette's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Clayton are ranked 28th).

Meanwhile, Burroughs kept a clean sheet against Westminster Christian on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Wildcats 1-0. The win continues a trend for Burroughs in their matchups with Westminster Christian: they've now won eight in a row.

Marquette's record now sits at 5-9. As for Burroughs, their record is now 3-5-1.
