You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Leake Academy on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Lamar Raiders out of the water with a 59-15 final score. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 32 points or more this season.

Leake Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarah Prince, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 11 points and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, Prince now owns an excellent 46.2% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Hannah Clark, who went 5-for-11 en route to 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Leake Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Lamar had strong showings from Alyssa McMahan, who posted eight points, and Carlyle Breaux, who put up five points.

Leake Academy pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points on average over those games. As for Lamar, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Leake Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-18 victory against Winona Christian on the 12th. As for Lamar, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-20 defeat against East Rankin Academy on the 12th.
